MIDDLE--possible challenge Brian Rose by Yolen

It would appear that we are about to have a curriculum materials challenge
(not library book, but classroom) on Yolen's Briar Rose in a 7/8 grade
Holocaust unit.
Have been through book challenge before, but would like any help or info
about this particular wonderful book, from anyone who has had a challenge
to it.
Ah, well, it was getting too dull around school....
