The 1998 Josette Frank Award goes to My Lousiana Sky by Kimberly Willis = Holt, published by Holt and edited by Christy Ottaviano. The Award is given for = a book of outstanding literary merit in which children or young people deal = in a positive and realistic way with difficulties in their world and grow emotionally and morally. The 1998 Flora Stieglitz Straus Award was given to Iqbal Masih and the Crusaders Against Child Slavery by Susan Kuklin, published by Holt and = edited by Marc Aronson. =20 This award is given for a nonfiction book that advances humanitarian = ideals and serves as an inspiration to young readers.
