Reading and Test Scores

The library clerks in my district have to give a presentation to our
governing board next month.  The topic that I have to cover is how
reading improves test scores.  I need facts and data to support this.
Do any of you have any idea of any web sites that would help me?
I would appreciate any info you may have.
