We are looking at Athena (Windows) as a possibility for our school district. We have 16 elementary, 3 middle school, and 2 large high school libraries as well as a central Library Media Office. Our schoo district with over 10,000 students has over 200,000 holdings and a resource sharing system among the school district libraries as well as with other libraries in the area. We would appreciate any information regarding your experiences with Athena especially in the following areas: 1. The server at a single site 2. Both a Union catalog as well as a catalog of each library's holdings at it's own site 3. How many concurrent users can the central server support? 4. Its z39.50 client and server capabilities. 5. The process of changing from another library automation system. 6. How resource sharing with the Athena system is working for you. Thanks for your help.
