Hi,

I have been lurking and answering questions whenever possible for the
past three years but this is my first request. In December I will
have completed my MLS degree requirements and I would like to move and
find a job for the fall 2000 school year. I was wondering if anyone
would have information on nice places to live and good school
districts to target. My first choices for moving would be the
Carolinas or possibly Virginia since I have relatives in South
Carolina.

I am currently looking at books with climate data, etc. but the
information in books cannot take the place of experiences from people
in the area. I would love to work in a school district that has an
involved, teacher-supported library program and good technology. I
would appreciated hearing from anyone that has suggestions of books or
websites I might look at to find information on areas and schools. I
will also be traveling to Virginia and the Carolinas this September to
try and get a sense of the area. Any suggestions of good places to
start looking would really help. Please respond directly to me.
LM_NET has already provided me with a wealth of information that I
have saved for the day that I do get a job.

Thanks in advance,

Deb
