I have wanted to try a system to award a class when either a certain percentage or all of the students return their books but I have a few questions. 1. How could something like this be implemented with a flexible schedule as every class may not be in the library every week? (For example, this week our library is closed for 3 days, Monday is staff development, Tuesday is health screening, and Wednesday is picture day.) 2. I would like to reward students when a certain percentage, 80% for example, return their books. What is the minimum percentage you would recommend and why? 3. I have open circulation twice daily. How can I reward classes and also have open circulation? Any suggestions above and beyond those two questions would also be welcomed. For example, when I was substituting, one library had ice cream cone shapes for each class. Every time everyone returned their books they received an ice cream scoop. I believe she had certain rewards when they reached a certain number of scoops. Thank you in advance for your help.
