Dear All,

Thanks for your answers. My time of 12 seconds per book is based on taking
the book off the shelf, opening to the bar-coded back page, scanning it,
closing the book, and returning it to the shelf. Do this 20,000 times in a
week and you feel kind of nuts. However, the friendly answers and support
from all of you helped restore my belief in the equipment. Also a phone call
from the folks at Companion[Alexandria] helped me sort out the issues of
inventory that were Alex related (bar code placement) from school system
constraints- the structure of the fiscal year pushing us to be done
"yesterday" and a few other details the six librarians in my district could
work on a little more. Thanks, again, to all of you - your input was
appreciated!
