Dear Colleagues, We have very little volunteer help in our school from parents or other adults. Right now two student aides in each class help me with circulation (non-automated) only during that room's bi-weekly library visit. I have a problem of not being able to have student library aides because the administrators and teachers are averse to having them miss too much class time. I would like to schedule a pair from each homeroom to help me either one period a week or one period bi-weekly. (47 min.) I hope to be going to flexible scheduling this fall, so I'm not sure how that is going to work. What do you folks in middle schools do?
