Hi there, I'm coming for some advice once again. Our administration is finally thinking about automating our library (that is, making some funds available,) and I am considering CASPR , Follette and perhaps Alexandria as possible systems . We have a small library , about 8,000 volumes . What I need is a sense of the time table for the automation process. Let's say I begin next July--let's say I have to input the data myself (with the help of some volunteers or paid highschool students.) What's the schedule? How long is the process and in what order does it happen? Also, do any of you have any idea of what it would cost, say to use CASPR? Is it a $10,000 cost?--$8000? I cannot tell from the prices they cite. They also have a CD from which I can download titles and that should make things easier, shouldn't it? Please let me know what you know and thank you again in advance, from Helen Dittmer, Redwood Day School, Oakland, CA <hdittme@ix.netcom.com> =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
