I enjoyed the messages I received in response to my question about favorite YA fantasy writers. These are the names that were suggested in addition to the original ones I named as my personal favorites (Lloyd Alexander, J.R.R. Tolkein, Susan Cooper, Brian Jacques, Roald Dahl, C.S. Lewis and Madeleine L'Engle). Incidentally, this is not intended as an exhaustive list but rather a list of people's absolute favorites in this genre. Needless to say, some of the names below were mentioned several times. I enjoyed all the messages very much, and got some definite reminders about good writers, some of whom I need to revisit. Thanks again! Mary Ann P.S. Of course J.K. Rowling was mentioned in my original post also.
