The suggestions were: -go to a radio station and ask for help -go to a college/ university and ask for help -ask the Smithsonian, since it's close -shop yard sale, garage sales, and antique dealers -order a phonograph via a specialist over the internet -ask local libraries -ask other school librarians locally What worked for me was asking people (VIA E-MAIL) whom I know locally if anyone had a record player that fit the bill. My neighbor (and former student) arrived this evening with one in hand, and I was delighted to hear my father's voice recorded in April 1945. Way cool! Thanks to everyone who helped with this one! You guys are "da bomb"!
