First, I wanted to add to Verity Creekmore's post, mentioning that today
will provide some people the opportunity to "come out of the closet". Maybe
we ought to say "come out of the stacks!!" Or, come out of "cybernation" -
hey! I just made up a word!

Anyway, I have been a semi-lurker this year, due to increased workload. I
still read lots of messages, delete lots more, and occasionally post. But,
I still enjoy the questions, advice, and camraderie of this group! What a
neat thing it is - I feel like I know so many of you, and yet I could pass
you right by on the street and never know it. Our world is truly changing.
Many people have argued that automation and computerization is making the
world more anonymous. This list has proven that does not have to be true.
In our case, it has made the library world smaller and more close-knit.

Thanks to all who have worked so hard to make this listserv such a helpful
success!
