Hello,
        I am a new librarian, but have been enjoying LM_NET since I found
out about my job in June.  A question was posed to me last week that I am
curious about.  The math dept.  chair at my school asked whether the library
paid the dues for professional dues (instutional discounted dues).  My
partner said we don't and never had.  I thought that somewhere along the
way, I heard that some libraries do provide that service for there school.
However, I know that is may get very expensive.
        What are the policies of your school?  Do you provide that service,
and if so for how long?  I am curious about how others handle this
situation.
