This year I have to change the name of the Library to Media Center, I'm opting for LMC, and I'm becoming the Media Generalist. I like the word Library because it encompasses all that we have in our care. Changing the name doesn't change the function. I still haven't found a public library that has changed its name to media cener. If anyone knows of any please let me know! I do have a question about overheads. Many of ours are old (circa 1970's) Travelgraph/Projection Optics overheads. The ceramic lamp holders need to be replaced periodically. Does anyone know of a manufacturer or distributor that would have this part. I have been told by the company that repairs our equipment that they are difficult to locate and that there may not be a supply to locate. I have looked in the archives and I am going to order some canned air to clean out the overheads. I think that was one of the neatest pieces of advice I have found. Several years ago I lurked on this listserv, lately I have been sending some individual e-mails, but I must thank you all for the wonderful things that I have read. I enjoyed Harry Potter , but didn't know of the great controversy until I read it here. Many of your letters make me realize how fortunate my situation is and many others make me realize how far we still have to go in our building. The archives are terrific. I usually come up with too many hits. How can I get beyond the 100 limit? Do I need to go by year and/or month? Thanks for your help - I hope this post is not too long.
