Dear LM_Netters,

One of my high school English teachers is trying to decide whether to =
teach The Scarlett Letter this year or not. Her students don't seem to =
enjoy reading it much and the students that are poor readers usually =
just get the cliff notes and watch the movie. She asked me my opinion =
and I suggested she try something a little more contemporary that more =
students would like. After all, we're trying to turn them on to =
reading.

She would like to know what you all think. I would appreciate any =
opinions and suggestions you might have.

Thanks in advance!
