Hello, My LM_Net Friends!

The Read In! 2000 is May 11, 2000, and...

It's that time again...the new Read In! website launches on August 18, 1999!!
Please visit often, register early, and notice the changes:

* We are hosting a Millenium Contest with cash prizes of $500, $250, and a
third prize of autographed Read In! authors' books for the "best" literacy
projects. This "contest" is to give schools a chance to earn cash to
implement a schoolwide/
community based literacy project. It is our way of encouraging literacy and
saying thanks for being with us for the past seven years! (Eight for me!)

* We have some wonderful coloring pages from our authors; a Read In! Rap song
created by high schoolers in MD; and other "Goodies" to use in your
classroom/library.

* We have a wonderful group of authors for you this year, with three more
surprises, which will be announced shortly. The Read In! 2000 authors are:

----This stellar group of authors will be online, live at one half hour
increments throughout the day, May 11, 2000. We have retested the pc software
and have worked with the programmers to eliminate the annoying "parts" and
"enters", so this year should be SPECTACULAR!!

Enjoy the site...As always, we are proud of our association with LM_Net and
proudly include a link on our Supporters Page to the LM_Net webpage...
