I am assisting a friend in compiling a selected reading list of books related to time. This list will be published in "Tempus Fugit : Time Flies," the catalog for a three-part exhibition examining time as both natural phenomenon and cultural construct, to be held at The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Kansas City, Missouri 15 October - 31 December 2000. The object of the reading list is to spark expanded investigations of time for children. I would like to ask for your help with book titles in developing this list. The children's books category will be subdivided into two reading levels, K-6 and 7-12. It will include picture and chapter books, fiction and non-fiction. With your suggestions, please indicate reading level, fiction or non-fiction, and consider quality rather than quantity. We plan to include books such as "A Wrinkle in Time," various time-travel books, the Dillon's new book from the Ecclesiastes verse, etc. Thanks so much for your help.
