Scheduling

Fellow Library Media Specialists, HELP!

    Do any of you have contract language dealing with the number of classes
or sections you can be assigned at the elementary level?  We have declining
enrollment at our school, and suddenly the principal is trying to assign
language arts classes to my schedule - I mean BIG TIME!  I have added
programs and services every one of the 23 years I have been in this
building, and enjoy working with ANY group on an as needed basis, but not
having them part of the schedule all of the time!  (I don't think my
teachers have a problem - just the boss).

TIA for any help.  I have a meeting scheduled with the district library
director and the association president on Monday the 30th and any more
information I can have from you will help us decide how to approach the
issue.
