"PICKY" TOPIC --HIT

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions concerning littles who cannot
keep their fingers out of their noses.  Most suggested to keep it
simple as simply hand the offender a tissue or instruct him to go get
one.  Everyone also metioned that you should make that child go wash
his hands before he is allowed to go to the shelf to handle any book.

Some suggested a presentation during an early library vist on healthy
manners, perhaps even delivered by the school nurse.

My favorite was the suggestion to include a special library rule
posted:  Pick good books--not noses!
