This is driving me nuts. I've been trying to dictate to Windows 98 on our new PCs made by Tangent that an Iomega Zip disk Shortcut icon not appear on the Desktop anymore, but it won't cooperate. I thought I could simply put the icon into the Recycle Bin and be done with it, but whenever I restart the machine, the icon reappears. I've tried doing a search in Win 98 for anything with "Zip" in it and deleting an icon in the StartUp folder, but that didn't work, either. I've also explored the settings after checking the Properties. Furthermore, I've tried locating this thing via the Control Panels to no avail. I don't know completely what I'm doing since I'm much less familiar with the nuances of Windows 98. I'd appreciate it greatly if someone could point me in the right direction. Thanks, Gabe :-) _________________________________ GABE GANCARZ, Assistant Librarian Glenbard East High School Lombard, IL gabe@edmail.com Lightspan Ed-Mail: The free e-mail solution for your school and community.
