ELEM: How soon does A-Zoo pay for itself?

Dear colleagues,
  I've been considering purchasing the book _A to Zoo : Subject Guide to
Picture Books_ for my library but it seemed to be rather expensive when I looked
at the catalog.  As a result, I've been questioning if I should purchase
something else instead.
  My questions is if the book is worth it?  Also, does it pay for itself
quickly?
  A final question is whether a similar book exists for chapter books.
