Without going into too much detail a middle school teacher asked me for some sources about loyalty, goodness, etc. Can any of you recommend a basic book that discusses or teaches good values through story or examples. Current and tried-and-true ones, please....fiction or nonfiction (probably the best). It could be one that discusses American values, or teen values....like learning to be honest, standing up for right against odds, etc. I don't have any really good ones in my 5-12th collection. Perhaps web sites would be good too. Thank you completely. Several weeks ago I requested responses concerning volunteers in school libraries for a class I was taking. The response was overwhelming. Thank you to all who responded. I can't wait to start my new career as a school librarian. It is so reassuring to know what a great support group is ready and waiting. Now, if I could just get my principal to release me from my teaching contract! Thanks again.
