I will be retiring at the end of this semester and we are eager to find=
 someone with school experience. West GA is a beautiful part of the country=
 so if you are qualified, or know someone who is, here is the announcement. =

Announcement of Faculty Position

AREA:   School Library/Media

RANK:   Assistant Professor

BEGINNING DATE: January 5, 2000

CONTRACT:       Nine Months (Tenure Track)

QUALIFICATIONS: oPh.D. or Ed.D. in Library Science, School Library/Media or
related field
        oRecord of public school experience as a school library/media
specialist
        oAbility to teach courses in Reference, Technical Services
(cataloging), Administration, Materials Selection and Media Programs.
        oRecord of scholarly productivity in the area of School
Library/Media or Instructional Technology
        oExpertise in computers and computer applications related to School
Library/Media
        oAbility to provide service to schools and school systems
throughout the state
        o Ability to advise students in Masters, Sixth Year Degree and
Certification-only programs
        o Willing to teach evenings
        o Willing to teach through Distance Learning Technologies
        o Ability to take a leadership role in State and National
Professional Organizations

SALARY: Competitive
