Elmo machine

I am looking for information on a piece of equipment that looks similar to
an overhead but it projects a mirror image of anything that is laid upon it
onto a screen.  Someone told me that it was called an Elmo;however, I know
that is a brand of audiovisual equipment.  It is wonderful to use with books
because you just lay the book upon the
machine and the entire book appears on the screen.  I would appreciate any
information on the name of this equipment, where it may be purchased and the
approximate price.  Also, I'd like to know what you think of this equipment
if your library has one and how you have used it.  I look forward to
receiving any information about this.
