I have a series called "Teen Witnesses to the Holocaust" that has different Dewey classes for some of the books. I want to shelve them together as a set. Is it against the LC law to give the whole set a call number? Will I be publicly humiliated if and when my catalog ever goes into an online union catalog for my area? What do you think? My first job was in one of the top universities in country and there, Elsie was queen; we never went against the official cataloging no matter how non user sensible it was. I guess I am still haunted by that ghost.
