I started out as a para-pro.....that is what inspired me to become a school
librarian.  However, in Washington, you do not need a Masters in Library
Science.  What you DO need is an endorsement in Learning Resources on your
teaching certificate.  This includes an additional 24 credits in subjects
like "Childrens literature", "Curriculum development with multimedia",
"Cataloging with MARC", "Instructional programs for Library
instruction"....etc.  Please don't boycot the para-pro, inspire them
