     Somewhat related, though not exactly the same, my sister has
always had difficulty wearing a wristwatch. In her teens she killed
several, just with what we always called an "electrical field". She
tried Timex as well as more expensive ones...the final straw was when
the graduation gift my parents gave her quit running after only a few
days.
   Unexplained, maybe unexplainable...
