Storytime in the H.S. Media Center, Oh My!

Well, folks,
This has been a week of firsts...the coffee house, and now, our early a.m.
storytime.  Each morning for the past 10 days or so, I have announced that I
would have a storytime before school on Thursday and Friday before the
holiday break...so today, I rolled out my cushy chair, posted a sign outside
the media center (Quiet, Story Time in progress)...also stuck my head
outside into the hall to announce that all should be quiet for storytime
(tongue-in-cheek)...and began to read..."How the Grinch Stole Christmas"...I
started out with about 10 kids who reminded me that I was going to read to
them...before I knew it, I had 40+ hanging around, and a couple of faculty,
too.  Since the school's concert band had played the score from the "Grinch"
tv show, the students began humming behind my reading...What a Hoot!  Goes
to show that high schoolers are little kids at heart.  One student told me
that "everything you (meaning me) have done since you came here has been
wonderful."

And now, I am ready for the holiday break!
