Dear LM_NETTers : Thanks so much to all of you who tried to help my daughter analyze Dewey call numbers (especially Mark Williams, Dr. Raymond Barber, Richard, Paula Riddle, and Linda De Vore). We learned : 1. the "/" indicates where a number can be cut; 2. a useful website is http://bubl.ac.uk/link/lis.html; 3. there is no substitute for having a copy of the tables and lots of patience.
