Dear LM_Net: I have been a full-time middle school librarian for 2 years now and have worked part-time as a reference librarian in a public library for two years. I also have a MEd. and teaching certification. I was just wondering what YOUR thoughts were: my Library School (I'm just finishing my degree) is still making me complete an internship (120 hours) that must be done outside of my 2 current library jobs. I understand that they do not want to set a precedent of waiving the internship. Although I found another public library that is willing to give me a clerical project to satisfy the internship, it seems superfluous [busywork]. Was wondering what your thoughts were on the topic. Guess I just stop complaining & get the internship done and over with?
