GEN: Cream Candy recipe?

We have in our library the book _Just in Time for Christmas_ by Louise =
Borden.  The book centers around the making of Cream Candy at Christmas =
time.  From the book, I have found that it has:
6 cups of sugar per batch
Cream
Vanilla

It is cooked, poured on a marble slab, and then pulled.

I would love to try to make this to share with the kids when I read the =
story next week.  Does anyone have a recipe for it?
