One of the counselors in my school is looking for a story for first and second graders about fairness, and doing things that hurt others accidentally and on purpose. I guess you might get two stories. I tried A to Zoo, it didn't have anything helpful. BTW, I came to LM_NETters when the counselors told me that they, the counselors, should be able to keep the books about personal and family problems (divorce, death, alcoholic parents, etc) because these issues should have an adult presenting them and helping the child with any feelings. I asked you if you had kids who took those books out on their own. I had a second grader today ask me for those books on divorce, because her parents were. I showed her and she took one out. I stand with my decision, that kids should have access to books about these subjects. I'm glad the counselors are coming to me for relevant books even though I went against their advice on the books in the library.
