Success story

Earlier this year a math teacher came down to a social studies
teach to whom I was speaking.  She asked the SS teacher, "Do
you have a line map of the US?"  He gave it to her and she was
impressed and asked him where he got it and he said, "From Fred
our friendly librarian."

Well, it must of sunk in because she came down to me today
saying, "I have looked through all my reference books and can not
find the formula for the surface area of a cone and sphere.  Would
you be able to get it?"   In less than five minutes on the internet I
had a page of trig formulas which contained them both.  She was
very impressed. I was also able to give her several pages of
worksheets.  Hopefully she will be back.  (Don't ask me where I got
the stuff -- she has it all now.)
