Hi, The librarians in our parish are meeting to discuss our students scores on the Iowa Test. We will be taking special note of the reference materials, sources of info., and maps and diagrams sections. We will also be discussing a grade-by-grade unit for the teaching of research/library skills. If anyone would be willing to share either their techniques for teaching skills found on the Iowa Test or their system of presenting skills to students I would greatly appreciate your advice. Also, (I know this question has been around before but I'd like the latest info.) do you put more emphasis on electronic card catalog and reader's guide or the "old-fashioned" one. Which type does the test gear toward. Thanks in advance for all of your input. Sue St. Ann, H.S.
