REF: Dictionaries

A teacher just called and asked me to recommend the best
dictionary for her personal use.  She is a reader and likes to
study the etimology of words.  I love American Heritage
personally, but she would like to see some reviews.  Can
anyone point me to a recent review of dictionaries?  Thanks
for your continuing help.
