<color><param>0100,0100,0100</param>I know this is a non sequitur, but an English teacher just called me asking how I could find out what school bus drivers are paid and what their duties are. She has a bus route and is expected to keep the bus "spic and span" as well. The drivers were told that if they were written up three times about the condition of their buses, they would be fired. They were also told that they were paid $2000 dollars more than the average driver so that they would clean their buses. With 23 bus drivers that would be 46,000 dollars a year to keep the buses clean. Does that sound very cost effective to you? It reminds me of what they expect of me in the way of cleaning in the library. It is a hardship for teachers who have no time off at all to do that and must rush to class or from class to drive. I am also on the personnel policy committee so people come to me with concerns about all sorts of problems. Thanks for any help that you can give.
