Here is part two of my three summaries of replies I received regarding how
to efficiently match book collections with AR titles.

***Custom test disks***
AR now has a disk where you can select the book tests you want to be on a
disk so you have all of the books in your library. It allows you to type in
the names of the books you own to match with the tests they have available.
The "custom tests" cost about $120.00 each (around $25 more than the regula=
r
disks), but if you don't want to try to match books with test kits, this is
the best way to go.

I've tried both ways and this is easier with my collection because I don't
have the time to pull up all our holdings, match titles with their test
disks, and then order what we don't have. Besides, my holdings are in
braille! Good luck!

     ***Custom test disks***
Yes, I just did this and I believe custom disks are the way to go, even
though they cost more intially-you=B9ll have the books. I used two computers
side by side and the Adv. Learning CD-ROM which is wonderful. I compared
what was available to what books we had and custom made the disks-yes it
takes time but you get tests for what you have.
