Elem: verticle file??

Hi group!

     I am interested in knowing how many elementary libraries have
current, working verticle files.  This is my third year at this library
and I am trying to get the verticle file weeded and sorted out - however
there have been absolutely NO students even make a peep about those
filing cabinets standing in the corner.  No one has any inkling about
what is inside.  Is it worth it for me to continue this very large task?
I could sure use the extra room that those two filing cabinets are
taking up!
