Seven people have tried to help me - all with the same advice
if you go to _Tools_ and then Options, you should get a box which allows you
to change your preferences. Click on Send and unclick the box which says
"include message in reply". That should do it.

Unfortunately mine does not have "options" under tools so I guess I am stuck
manually deleting - thanks to the people who tried to help.
