LM_NETTERS: Our Internet AUP states that Internet use is a privilege not a right and it is for educational purposes according to the curriculum. How are you all interpreting educational purposes to include surfing, playing cards and games, using chat rooms, ordering free items. We are getting students who just want to "play" on the computers and teachers who send them without a set purpose. So, they may really have to do research and end up playing cards and listening to rap music. What is the answer to this? We can't hire a full-time person to direct students. Do you set rules on what they can do or need a note from a teacher or how do you handle it? I'm glad to see the kids so motivated. I'd like to be able to teach them something. Yet it is not so easy when they have no assignment. Please email me directly. Thank you.
