We have a hp 890cxi injet printer that seems to be broken! The printouts look like the machine is low on black ink...black lines are spotty or grey., Color is fine...we print a lot of BLUE reports!!! I have 1)replaced cartridge 2)swapped cartridges from working printer (other printer works fine, mine still prints poorly 3)run the CLEAN option...even the extended clean option 4)swapped printers!! This worked! The cartridges I remove from printer have globs of black ink on the bottom of them. If I pull a cartridge from another printer..it too ends up with globs. Who repairs these things??? Is it cheaper just to replace it??? The printer is 2 years old, heavily used! tia! B.
