TECH:Platform Decision

Hello,

I have been asked to co-chair a subcommittee of our District Technology
Committee whose charge it is to present suggestions for the "platform"
issue in our district (ie. Mac vs. PC)  My idea is to present three
possibilites for discussion of the advantages and disadvantages of each.
Possibility #1 -  Macintosh - with recommendations for minimum
specifications to run on our network
Possibility #2 - PC - with recommendations for minimum specifications to
run on the nework
Possibility #3 - a combination of both platforms

Are there other questions which should be considered?  Has anyone had  this
discussion in their district and how did you handle this potentially highly
charged issue?  All suggestions are welcomed. Please respond before March
1st.   The meeting will be held on March 3 and the subcommittee needs to
report back to the full committee with our recommendations on March 8.
