I saw this in today's LA Times Book Review section, and
thought you might be interested.

The finalists for  the 1998 Los Angeles Times Book Prizes
in the Young Adult Fiction category are:

   Go and Come Back by Joan Abelove
   Rules of the Road by Joan Bauer
   In a Dark Wood by Michael Cadnum
   Soldier's Heart by Gary Paulsen
   Holes by Louis Sachar

The winner will be announced April 23.
