local cable & videos

Hello All,
The local cable television company has approached our school district about
providing video tapes of school activities to be aired on the local access
channel.  I would love to hear from all of you who use your local cable
channel to broadcast things like extracurricular sports, band and choir
concerts, storytime, school board meetings, or anything else.  I know that
there are a number of copyrite and privacy issues involved in this type of
venture and would like to hear your experiences, Pro or Con, as well as
anecdotal info.

there is interest.
