Tech: installing quicktime 3.0 problems

Dear Fellow LM_Netters,
        I've been trying to install Quicktime 3.0 from a CD-ROM and keep
getting the same message that I must quit HP Background in order to
install. I have turned off HP Background printing and keep getting the
same message even though nothing has even been sent to the printer. I'm
using a Macintosh PowerPC 5200/75LC with system 7.5.1 and 40MB of RAM.
Why won't it install? Any suggestions for an alternative way to install?
