Travel: France and England

        I hope to slip this personal request in before we all get back to
serious business.
        My husband, 22 year-old son, 17 year-old daughter
and I are planning a trip in July to England (1 week) and France (3
weeks.  I have never been to England and have not been to France in 20
years.  Of course, we will be on a budget, but want to see and do as much
as possible.
        I know that many of you are seasoned travelers and have lots of
ideas that would be helpful.  Please reply to me personally with tips,
hints, and any advice you can share on where to stay, what to see, and the
best way to get there.
        Thanks so much.  I'm getting excited about the trip already!
