GEN: increasing parent involvement

I am on a committee at my school which is charged with coming up with ideas
to increase parent involvement in our school.  We presently have nearly
zero parent involvement, not even a PTO or PTA.  We're starting from the
ground up.

Can anyone recommend some good books, especially those with a "nuts and
bolts" approach?
