 of some advice.  Our school district has decided
to adopt the Big Six approach at the 3 - 5 grade level and had
instituted a pilot program this year at one elem school involving both
the big six and flexible scheduling.  The plan was for the other 5 elem
schools to follow suit next year.  For some reason now the head of our
committee feels that if we only introduce the big six approach and not
flex sched the teachers will not be quite as resistant.  My contention
is that we are undermining the big six if we do not also go the a flex
schedule.  Does anyone have any advice or experience trying to do the
Big Six without flexible access?
