Target:How do you "do" a school reading goal?

Hi!

        Every year I have a major week long reading blow-out.  Some
years I have set a school-wide goal for how much the students read.
Then we have a treat when the kids meet the goal.  Pigs have been
kissed, cows milked, etc.  I have tried a variety of goals and methods
of accountability.  I have set page goals for the whole school.  I have
also done accelerated reader point goals.  I have had kids report their
daily accomplishments.  I have heard of parents signing daily reports of
reading achievements.  So far I have not found a flawless method and
would like to know what has worked for some of you.

        What do you do at your school?  Have you had anything that works
particularly well?  Please let me know if I should not include your name
