Subject Heading: Russia

How do you distinguish the various Russia in subject headings
I currently use the following as indicated:

RUSSIA (for all general ones that cover a wide range of history
RUSSIA (CZARIST) for pre revolution time
RUSSIA (FEDERATION) for post Soviet Union

I am aware that there are various ones from Sears and LOC but I
was wondering what you use in your library.  Thank you very much.
 If I get a collection of answers I will post a HIT.
